What?
This feature allows users to specifically select several post-processing steps per AM process. Consequently, an updated AM price per part and process is being calculated. As a next step, an individual quotation can be issued to ultimately order the part. All post-processing steps and its calculations can be set up individually for each user to represent available capabilities.
Why?
When pricing AM parts, the consideration of post-processes plays a significant role, in some cases, even surpassing the cost for just printing the part itself. Relevant post-processes vary for AM processes and materials, and their calculations for e.g., CNC-milling, are not always trivial. Our solution can help here by returning an estimate of the post-processing cost, which will then be reviewed by the manufacturer.
